0

Yesterday we held two cricket skills festivals for pupils in Years 1-2 at the Sportspark. The festivals were held in partnership with the Norfolk Cricket Board and aimed to give more young pupils the opportunity to take part in a fun cricket event and develop their cricket specific skills.

The following schools took part in the festivals

Morning festival

  • Lakenham Primary School
  • Bignold Primary School
  • Free School Norwich
  • Little Melton Primary School

Afternoon festival

  • Eaton Primary School
  • Clover Hill Infant School
  • Valley Primary Academy
  • The Clare School

Pupils took part in a range of activities which developed a number of cricket specific skills including bowling, batting, throwing and catching. Activities were delivered by coaches from the Norfolk Cricket Board with the support of sports leaders from Dereham Northgate High School.
