On Friday 4th November we held an SSP Cross Country Competition in Earlham Park in Norwich. Three hundred and eighty five Year 3-6 pupils from 14 SSP member schools took part.
The competition followed our ‘DEVELOP’ event theme and aimed to encourage more pupils to represent their school in competitive sport whilst aiming to achieve their personal best.

Despite the weather forecasts in the run up to the event not looking positive, the weather held out and the sun even making an appearance!
Earlham Park provided a fantastic setting for the competition and the course challenged runners of all abilities. Pupil were cheered on from the side lines from their peers, family and friends who had come along to watch.

We would like to say a massive thank you to the sports students from City College Norwich for providing front runners for the students to follow and for being marshals around the course, encouraging each runner as they ran past them.
