Netball Development League #3

On Monday 10th June 2024 our Netball Development League was concluded with the final matches being played at City Academy Norwich. The league had been held over the summer term, held during April and June. Ten squads had taken part with each squad consisting of up to 8 girls from Yr 5-6, with 5 on court at any time. Matches followed the new England Netball Bee Netball format.

The aim of the league is to give more young people the opportunity to represent their school in competitive netball matches against pupils from other schools within the SSP.

Teams were initially split into two divisions and played against each other in a round robin format twice over the term. The match day were Wednesday 24th April, Wednesday 22nd May and Monday 10th June. Which gave teams the opportunity to practice their skills in between and learn lessons from their previous matches.

The Event Theme for this event was Develop The event was for pupils who enjoy friendly competition but do not want to solely focus on winning and losing, instead they focus on supporting pupils wider development.

The Intent of the event was to “develop confidence and competence”
