On Thursday the 6th of May Suzy spent the day at Notre Dame Prep School delivering a Day of Calm to seven groups of pupils.
The weather meant they were in different locations throughout the day, luckily the session is very adaptable and can be in a classroom, hall or outside space.
During the session they focussed on their senses, 4,5,6 breathing, the Super Hero pose, Tai Chi, hand breathing and a Body Scan meditation.
Suzy received the following message from Notre Dame PE Co-ordinator Mr Arregui:
“Thank you very much for coming today and sharing the Day of Calm! The children were really happy, the teachers told me they showed them the poses and exercises they did today. Many of them told me they were going to practice at home with their families. I will try to keep practicing some of the breathing exercises in our PE lessons, now they know them it will be much easier. It would be great if we could repeat the experience next year.”
The opportunity is part of the SSP membership package for Primary Schools. If your school would like to host a Day of Calm for your pupils contact email@example.com.
