Year 2 -3 Tennis Skills Festival

0

On the 5th June, we had our tennis skills festival. It was a brilliant event that brought together young tennis players from the SSP partnership to develop their skills and learn from experienced coaches from the National Tennis Associations. The festival was held at the Eaton Park and was a perfect opportunity for the children to develop their tennis skills, make new friends, and have fun in the sun.

Schools were invited to bring up to 30 pupils from Years 2-3. During the festival, groups of pupils will take part in a carousel of tennis skills based activities. Each activity focused on developing a specific fundamental skill required in tennis. Pupils will be challenged to do their personal best for each activity.

The event was designed to provide a fun and interactive environment for young players. The festival was delivered in partnership with The National Tennis Association.

The schools that took part were:

  • Little Melton Primary
  • Valley Primary Academy
  • Lakenham Primary
  • Tuckswood Academy
  • Cringleford Primary
  • Charles Darwin
  • Nelson Infant
  • Bluebell Primary
  • Eaton Primary School

It was so lovely to hear cheers of support, triumph from all the children.

Cleo – “It was lots of fun trying to balance the ball”

Jessie  “I want to do it again”
