Event Description
Schools are invited to book 6-8 students from Yr 5-6 to take part in this festival. At the festival pupils will take part in a carousel of fun water based activities which will challenge them in a variety of fundamental skills in the water.
The event is aimed at non swimmers but who are water confident.
The pool will be set at a shallow depth and the leaders will also be in the pool with the students. All students will be in the pool for the whole session.
The students will take part in a variety of fun water based games including:
- Raft races
- Treasure Hunt
- Slam Dunk Relay
- Ferry Travel
- Fly Ball and more!
What is the objective of the event?
The Event is an ‘Engage’ themed event which aims to give young pupils a first opportunity to take part in a fun, off site sports festival.
The Intent of the event is “provide inclusive opportunities”

Which schools is the event open to?
The event is open to pupils from all school
What clothing/footwear should pupils wear?
Children will need appropriate swimming gear.
Changing Rooms
The changing rooms at the Sportspark will be open to the public at the same time so it is vital that schools provide sufficient male/female members of staff to supervise their own pupils when changing.
Can parents spectate?
Unfortunately spectators are not welcome at this event.
Will transport be provided?
We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools free transport to this event if needed. When booking, please indicate on the booking form whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils + adults). Transport times will be confirmed once the booking deadline has passed, and transport has been booked.
Photo and video consent
We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools who have taken part via a variety of media including the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters.
It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official event photographer.

Entry deadline
The deadline for entering is Thursday 9th January (3 weeks prior to the event).
