School Games Santa Dash

0

We are delighted to share information about the National School Games Santa Dash taking place on Friday 11th December.

The idea is to connect thousands of young people across the country in taking part in the Santa Dash, at the same time. There is also an Active Santa Photography Competition to generate a bit of fun around the event (download flyer).

All you need to do is organise a ‘dash’ on your school site on the 11th December (the distance is your choice) . The run/jog/walk can be done in year group or class bubbles, on that day, at any time and encourage everyone to wear a Santa hat or something Christmassy, whilst they are taking part. It would be great to get teachers, TAs, Head Teachers, Office staff, Lunchtime staff involved too!If your school does participate in the Santa Dash then please could you email Jon Osborne (jon.osborne@cityacademynorwich.org) with the numbers of children in each year group (boys/girls) and any adults that took part, that would be fantastic. We can then submit them to the national database, so we an see how many people took part nationally.

Once schools have submitted the number of pupils that took art in the event, we will email you an official Santa Dash 2020 participation certificate for everybody that took part.

Please don’t forget , if you are taking part (and if you have permission) share photos on social media, using #santasmiles , @norwichssp and @yourschoolgames.

We look forward to seeing how many schools within the SSP take part and hopefully, it will be a bit of fun as we near the end of a strange term.

Share.
