Students raised the roof at The Halls Norwich on Wednesday 15th June to take part in our Commonwealth Games themed dance show! Students from Bignold Primary, Little Melton Primary, Mulbarton Primary, Valley Primary Academy, Hethersett VC Primary, St Francis of Assisi Catholic Primary, Cringleford Primary school and High schools – City Academy Norwich, City of Norwich School and Hethersett Academy all smiled, danced and made memories in front of their family and friends.
With two performances the children enjoyed a fantastic day experiencing having their make up and hair done for them by the students at City College Norwich, professional sound and lighting lit the stage as well as a sold out audience in the evening of nearly 600 people!
With the Commonwealth Games being hosted in Birmingham this year, it gave our dancers a great theme to focus on and to include songs that inspired them to believe they can do anything and to strive to be the best they can be. From as young as year 2 – just 6 years old, they introduced their dance and all behaved impeccably back stage – making new friends and creating memories they will never forget.
The show was captured professionally by a videographer and photographer so click the link below to view all the photos, purchase a DVD and a commemorative t-shirt too!
