Event Description

The festival is delivered as part of our role as a FA Girls Schools Football  project. This programme aims to increase access to football for girls.

Schools are invited to enter up to 1 squad of 8 girls from Years 8 and/or 9 to take part in the competition. Teams will play against other schools in competitive matches. The competition will be held outside at on all weather football pitches at GOALS Norwich

What is the objective of the event? 

The event theme for this is event is ‘Compete’ which is for pupils who are competitive in nature and enjoy performing and competing against others. 

The Intent of the event is to “develop confidence and competence”

What clothing/footwear should pupils wear? 

The event will be held outdoors on all weather pitches, so pupils will need to wear suitable clothing to keep them warm/dry. Please ensure that pupils wear trainers or football boots with moulded studs (no full studs or blades) and shin pads.

Goal keepers must wear gloves. Please bring bibs if you have any.

Pupils are advised to bring lunch and a water bottle.

Clothing & Footwear

As matches will be held outdoors on all-weather pitches, pupils should wear:

Warm and waterproof outdoor PE kit

Trainers or football boots with moulded studs (no full studs or blades)

Shin pads (compulsory)

Goal keepers must wear gloves

💧 Pupils should also bring a water bottle.

Spectators

Unfortunately, parents and carers cannot spectate at this event.

Transport

Schools must provide their own transport

Photo & Video Consent

We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools

Photos and videos may be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official photographer for use in media (internet, social media, newspapers, newsletters).

It is each school’s responsibility to ensure parental/guardian consent has been obtained for all participants. If no consent is given, pupils will be required to wear a yellow snapband.
