We are delighted that the government has announced today the continued funding of the School Games network for the next two academic years, as part of a wider range of school sport investment.
The funding of £22 million will allow the network of 450 School Games Organisers (SGOs) to provide young people across the country with the opportunity to compete in positive sporting experiences. It will also allow SGOs to continue to work in partnership with their local schools and partners to promote the importance of regular physical activity to improve the physical and mental wellbeing of young people.
A full overview of the announcement and funding commitment is available on the Youth Sport Trust’s website.
