Event Description

Join us for the 4 match days for the SSP Year 5-6 Netball Development League, taking place on the outdoor courts at City Academy Norwich.

Schools are invited to enter:

2 squads of 8 girls only (5 on the court)

and  1 squad of 8 players for mixed league (boys and girls)

Mixed league  -max of 3 boys on the court at any one time.

All matches will follow the England Netball Bee Netball format.

Teams will be placed into divisions based on ability. Our first match day will be friendly match’s to determine which league is best for each team. However, if schools are unable to make the first match day to determine which division they will be in, final placements will be determined by SSP staff.

Match Day Dates & Times

Wednesday 15th April, 3:30 – 5:30pm – Pre Warm Up

Wednesday 29th April, 3:30 – 5:30pm

Wednesday 20th May, 3:30 – 5:30pm

Wednesday 10th June, 3.30-5.30pm

Event Theme

The theme of this event is “Develop” – aimed at pupils who enjoy friendly competition but are also focused on building broader skills, not just on winning or losing.

Event Intent:
To develop confidence and competence in all participants.

Who can take part?

The event is open to pupils from SSP member schools 

What should pupils wear?
The event is outdoors, so pupils should arrive in appropriate outdoor PE kit, including suitable footwear, and bring a water bottle.

Schools must provide Netball Bibs.

Can parents ad carers spectate?

Yes – spectators are welcome to come and support.

Transport

Schools are responsible for arranging their own transport.

Photo & Video Consent

We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools

Photos and videos may be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official photographer for use in media (internet, social media, newspapers, newsletters).

It is each school’s responsibility to ensure parental/guardian consent has been obtained for all participants. If no consent is given, pupils will be required to wear a yellow snapband.
