
Event Description
Schools are invited to enter a team of 10 pupils (5 boys/5 girls) to take part in the Muddy Monsters School Cycling Championships.
The event is designed to give pupils the opportunity to represent their school in a fun team cycling event alongside pupils from other schools.
The event is open to pupils in Year 5 and/or 6 who can already confidently ride a bike. NO previous racing experience is required.
Race Details
Sprint Race (1 lap of main course)
Endurance Race (multiple laps of main course)
Skills Race (1 lap of skills course)
Pupils will score points from each race which will be combined and added to their team mates to give an overall team score.
Event Theme
This is a Compete themed event, giving pupils the chance to challenge themselves and race against pupils from other schools.
Intent
The aim of the event is to support individual sporting development and encourage pupils to enjoy competitive running in a supportive environment.
Who Can Take Part?
This event is open to all SSP member schools.
How to Enter
Click on the link below to confirm your entry directly with Little Riders. Please state you are a member of Norwich SSP to gain free access to this event. The SSP will fund the first 6 schools on to the event. All other schools booked on after this will have the opportunity to still attend but at a cost of £90 per team and will have to cover your own transport. Little Riders will confirm this with you before entry is confirmed.

Clothing, footwear and Equipment
Pupils should wear suitable outdoor PE clothing and footwear.
All pupils need to bring a cycle helmet to wear.
Bikes will be provided for pupils to use during the event. Schools are not required to bring bikes for their pupils. The bikes provided will be a combination of 24 and 26 inch Trek Mountain Bikes.
Spectators
Parents are welcome to attend and support the riders
Transport
Free transport will be provided for SSP member schools if required.
Once your space is confirmed with Little Riders – We will confirm if transport is need and how many seats required.
Final transport arrangements will be confirmed after the booking deadline once travel has been organised.
Photo & Video Consent
We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools
Photos and videos may be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official photographer for use in media (internet, social media, newspapers, newsletters).
It is each school’s responsibility to ensure parental/guardian consent has been obtained for all participants. If no consent is given, pupils will be required to wear a yellow snapband.
