
Event Description
Our Cross Country Race invites pupils from Years 3–6 to represent their school and compete against others in a fun but challenging outdoor event at Earlham Park. Races range from 1400m to 1600m, giving children the chance to test their endurance, enjoy healthy competition, and develop their sporting skills in a supportive environment.
Entries
Each school is invited to enter up to 8 boys and 8 girls from each year group – Years 3, 4, 5 and 6.

Who Can Take Part?
This event is open to all SSP member schools.
Event Theme
This is a Compete themed event, giving pupils the chance to challenge themselves and race against pupils from other schools.
Intent
The aim of the event is to support individual sporting development and encourage pupils to enjoy competitive running in a supportive environment.
Clothing & Footwear
The competition will take place outdoors at Earlham Park. There will be no access to indoor facilities, so please ensure pupils are dressed appropriately for the weather. Schools may wish to bring a gazebo or groundsheet for shelter and to keep belongings dry.
There are public toilets to use and the cafe will be open!
Spectators
Parents are welcome to attend and support the runners.
⚠️ Please note: Parking at Earlham Park is very limited.
Transport
Free transport will be provided for SSP member schools if required.

The total number of seats required (pupils + adults).

Final transport arrangements will be confirmed after the booking deadline once travel has been organised.
Photo & Video Consent
We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools

Photos and videos may be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official photographer for use in media (internet, social media, newspapers, newsletters).

It is each school’s responsibility to ensure parental/guardian consent has been obtained for all participants. If no consent is given, pupils will be required to wear a yellow snapband.
