Yr 1 Pupils get active at the SSP Multi-Skills Festival

0

To start the week, we have held four Multi-Skills Festivals over two days at Easton College. These festivals are designed to get pupils active, challenge them to do their own personal best and develop a range of skills that can be applied into future physical activity.

Over 500 pupils attended the festivals from the following schools;

Monday

  • Chapel Break Infant School
  • Charles Darwin Primary School
  • Hethersett Woodside Primary School
  • Lakenham Primary School
  • Mulbarton Primary School
  • Notre Dame Prep School

Tuesday

  • Bluebell Primary School
  • Charles Darwin Primary School
  • Eaton Primary School
  • Free School Norwich
  • Mulbarton Primary School
  • Nelson Infant School
  • Valley Primary Academy

The pupils participate in a range of activities that allow them to practice and develop a range of skills such as throwing and catching. These skills help develop the foundation for sport specific skills in the future.   The festival also aims to encourage pupils to be physically active in the future.

Overall, it was fantastic to see so many pupils getting active and involved across the two days. At the end of each festival, some pupils were also awarded with a Sportsmanship Award for showing good qualities throughout the event.
