SSP Yr3-4 Football Development League Kicks Off

Yesterday afternoon saw the first match day of the SSP Yr3-4 Football Development League at UEA Sportspark.  The SSP Football Development leagues aim to offer pupils the opportunity to compete in competitive fixtures against teams from other schools, whilst encouraging participation in physical activity and football.

The Development leagues are held over a period of three match days, where teams have the opportunity to play against other teams in a round robin format. Teams are split into two divisions to encourage play against teams of a similar ability. The following schools are participating in the league;

  • Bluebell Primary
  • Charles Darwin Primary
  • Mulbarton Primary
  • Notre Dame Prep
  • St Francis of Assisi
  • West Earlham Junior

It was great to see so many teams, and new schools involved in the league. There was some fantastic football played and great sportsmanship displayed by all the pupils. The results and current standings in the league tables can be viewed by clicking here.

We look forward to seeing all the teams again at the next match day which will take place on Wednesday 27th November at UEA Sportspark.
