Today, we held a Yr 9-11 This Girl Can Festival at the UEA Sportspark which was attended by 80 teenage girls from 5 local schools.
The event aimed to encourage girls to be more physically active by trying a range of new activities that they previously may not have had the opportunity to get involved. The festival was part of the 2019 Norfolk School Games programme.
Pupils from the following five schools attended the event;
- City Academy Norwich
- Clare School
- Hethersett Academy
- Jane Austen College
- Notre Dame High School
The pupils had the opportunity to participate in taster sessions in four different activities delivered by local instructors. The activities were
- BootyBarre – Toni Taylor Pilates
- Nutrition Workshop – Health Embrace
- Yoga – Yodanga Arts
- Zumba – Zumba Kat
Mrs Kirwan, from Notre Dame High School said;

Miss Alothman from Hethersett Academy said;
