SSP hosts School Games Mark Workshop to support schools with their applications

On February 27th, the SSP hosted a School Games Mark CPD Workshop at City Academy Norwich. The workshop was titled How to use the School Games Mark to drive and recognise improvement in PE and School Sport.

The workshop offered an introduction to the School Games Mark, the opportunity to read and understand the criteria for the upcoming application window, share best practice and ideas between schools and ask any questions.

The School Games Mark is a government led awards scheme. It was launched in 2012 to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community. Each application is divided to cover four topics; participation, competition, workforce and clubs. By participating in this process, schools can evaluate their current PE provision, which can assist in the development of an action plan for future progress.

Applications for the 2018/19 window will open on 8th May 2019.
