Sports Leaders Training

We offer schools a number of opportunities to develop the officials, managers, coaches and teachers of the future by engaging youngsters within leadership and volunteering at an early age.

Our aim is to increase the quality, quantity and diversity of young people engaged in volunteering and leadership within the Partnership schools.

Since 2009, over 1000 young people within the Norwich School Sport Partnership have been actively involved in leadership and volunteering. We hope to raise the amount of young people volunteering in sport across all age ranges by offering schools the following opportunities;

Sports Monitors

A programme to start the leadership pathway in years 1 – 4 that recognises the contribution leaders can play in high quality PE and school sport.

Young Leaders Award

The Young Leader Award is a programme of leadership training for in years 5 – 6 that promotes them working with younger children, teaching leadership skills through a range of games and activities.

Volunteering Opportunities

We aim to offer pupils of all ages a range of opportunities to volunteer at SSP festivals, competitions, development leagues and dance shows.
