Yesterday, over 350 pupils came to the UEA Sportspark to compete in the Yr 3-4 and Yr 5-6 Sportshall Athletics Events.

The Yr 3-4 event forms part of the Norfolk School Games Programme, where the top girls and boys team will be invited to represent the SSP at the Norfolk School Games Finals. Although the Yr5-6 does not form part of the School Games programme this year, and therefore there are no finals, the event was still held for all the schools in the SSP due to its popularity with both staff and pupils.

The morning saw the Yr 3-4 competition take place. Throughout the morning, the pupils had the opportunity to take part in the following events;

  • Obstacle Relay
  • Over/Under Relay
  • 4 x 1 Lap Relay
  • Chest Push
  • Five Strides
  • Foam Javelin
  • Speed Bounce
  • Standing Long Jump
  • Vertical Jump
