Kick Off for the SSP Yr5-6 Football Development Leagues

Yesterday afternoon saw the event of the year, and the first match day of the SSP Yr5-6 Football Development Leagues. This year, we have two competitions running; the existing Mixed Development League and the new Girls Development League. The SSP Football Development leagues aim to offer pupils the opportunity to compete in competitive fixtures against teams from other schools, whilst encouraging participation in physical activity and football.

The Development leagues are held over a period of three match days, where teams have the opportunity to play against other teams in a round robin format. The following schools are participating in the leagues;

  • Bignold Primary
  • Bluebell Primary
  • Cringleford Primary
  • Free School
  • Hethersett Primary
  • Lakenham Primary
  • Little Melton Primary
  • Mulbarton Primary
  • Notre Dame Prep
  • St Francis of Assisi

The Mixed League has been split into three separate divisions and in the Girls League, all teams are pooled together. Yesterday saw some fantastic matches and competitive play from all involved in the leagues.

The results and current standings in the league tables can be viewed by clicking here for the Mixed League and clicking here for the Girls League.

Photographs from both leagues can be viewed by clicking here.

We look forward to seeing all the teams again at the next match day which will take place on Wednesday 20th November at UEA Sportspark.
