Event Description

The festival is delivered as part of our role as a FA Girls Football School Partnership. The programme aims to increase access to football for girls.

The event is open to all schools with primary aged pupils. Schools are invited to enter up to 2 squads of 8 girls from Years 5 and/or 6 to take part in the competition. Teams will play against each other in competitive matches. The competition will be held outside at on all weather football pitches at the Sportspark.

This event is part of the Norfolk School Games and the top 2 teams will be invited to represent the SSP at the Norfolk School Games Finals on Tuesday 19th March at Goals.

What is the objective of the event? 

The event theme for this is event is ‘Compete’ which is for pupils who are competitive in nature and enjoy performing and competing against others. 

The Intent of the event is to “develop confidence and competence”

Which schools is the event open to?

This event is open to pupils from all schools

What clothing/footwear should pupils wear? 

The event will be held outdoors on all weather pitches, so pupils will need to wear suitable clothing to keep them warm/dry. Please ensure that pupils wear trainers or football boots with moulded studs (no full studs or blades) and shin pads. Pupils are advised to bring a water bottle.

Can parents spectate?

Spectators are welcome to attend the event. PLEASE NOTE – The Sportspark charged an entry fee of 70p for spectators. 

Will transport be provided? 

We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools free transport to this event if needed. When booking, please indicate on the booking form whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils + adults). Transport times will be confirmed once the booking deadline has passed, and transport has been booked. 

Photo and video consent 

We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools who have taken part via a variety of media including the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters.  

It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official event photographer.

To enter to bring pupils to the event please complete the below booking form and press “submit”.

The deadline for entering is Thursday 1st February.
