Event Description
Schools are invited to enter up to two squads of 8 girls from Years 5 and 6.
All eight players will participate at the same time, with matches played using the ECB Dynamos Cricket format. This fast-paced and inclusive format is designed to develop cricket skills while providing an enjoyable and competitive experience for all participants.
This event forms part of the Norfolk School Games pathway. The top two placed teams will be invited to represent the SSP at the Norfolk School Games Finals on Tuesday 22nd June at Manor Park Cricket Club, Horsford
Event Theme
Compete – This event is designed for pupils who enjoy challenging themselves, performing under pressure and testing their skills against other schools in a competitive environment.
Intent
The aim of this event is to promote success and achievement through competitive cricket, while encouraging teamwork, resilience and a positive attitude towards competition.

Which schools is the event open to?
The event is open to pupils from all schools in the Norwich School Sport Partnership network. All Schools

Clothing & Footwear
As the event will take place outdoors, pupils should come prepared for the conditions.
Players should:
- Wear appropriate outdoor PE kit.
- Wear suitable sports footwear.
- Bring a water bottle.
- Bring a packed lunch.
Spectators
Parents and carers are welcome to attend and support participants.
Transport
Schools are responsible for arranging their own transport to and from the event.
Photo & Video Consent
We would like to capture photographs and videos of the event to celebrate the achievements of the pupils and schools taking part.
- Photos and videos may be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official photographer for use in promotional materials, including websites, social media, newspapers and newsletters.
- It is the responsibility of each school to ensure that appropriate parental or guardian consent has been obtained for all participating pupils.
- Pupils without consent for photography or filming must wear a yellow snap band so they can be easily identified.
Safeguarding & Risk Assessment
- A risk assessment will be emailed to all schools prior to the event.
- Schools are reminded to familarise themselves with their safeguarding responsibilities when attending SSP events. safeguarding responsibilities
