Description
The festival will be run in partnership with the staff and students from the Outdoor Leadership course of City College Norwich based at Easton College.
At the festival pupils will work together in a team with other pupils from their school to complete a series of teamwork challenges. Each challenge will require pupils to use physical, social and communication skills to complete the challenges.
Who is the Event Open to?
The event is open to SSP member schools. Schools are invited to bring a team of 8-10 pupils from Years 3-4 who are struggling with the transition to a new school or key stage, or to develop friendships with children at their school.
Event Theme
This is a Engage themed event which is non competitive and targets pupils who would benefit from being more physically active, particularly those whose physical activity levels have been most negatively affected by COVID-19.
Intent
The Intent of the event is “to foster social connections”.
Clothing & Footwear
The event will be held indoors so pupils will need to wear suitable footwear and clothing.
Spectators
Parents are invited to come along and spectate during the event. PLEASE NOTE – There is a 60p entrance fee to the Sportspark for spectators.
Transport
We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools with free transport to this event if needed. In the below booking form please indicate whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils+adults). A transport summary will be circulated prior to the event confirming pick up/drop of times.
Photo & Video Consent
We aim to use photos and videos to promote our events using a variety of media including on the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters. It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by SSP staff or official event photographers.

A risk assessment for the event will be emailed to schools approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.

To enter to bring pupils to the event please complete the below booking form and press “submit”.
Entry Deadline
The deadline for entering is Tuesday 19th April (3 weeks prior to the event).
