Event Description

The festival is delivered as part of our role as a FA Girls Football School Partnership. The programme aims to increase access to football for girls.

Schools are invited to bring up to 14 pupils from Years 3-4 who don’t already play competitive football within school.

At the festival pupils will take part in a carousel of fun football skill based activities and games which focus on developing the fundamental skills required to play football as well as a love for the game.

What is the objective of the event? 

The Event Theme for this event is  ‘Engage’ which is non-competitive and targets pupils would benefit from being more physically active. 

The Event Intent is “championing  physical literacy”

Which schools is the event open to? 

The event is open to pupils from all schools 

What clothing/footwear should pupils wear? 

The event will be held outdoors so please ensure that pupils arrive in suitable outdoor PE kit (inc footwear)  Football boots and shin pads are not required. Pupils should bring a water bottle.

Can parents spectate? 

Unfortunately, we can not accommodate spectators at this event.

Will transport be provided? 

We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools free transport to this event if needed. When booking, please indicate on the booking form whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils + adults). Transport times will be confirmed once the booking deadline has passed, and transport has been booked. 

Photo and video consent 

We would like to use photos and videos of the event to celebrate the pupils and schools who have taken part via a variety of media including the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters.  

It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by City Academy Norwich (NSSP) staff or an official event photographer.
