Sportspark (3G 7 a side)
University of East Anglia
The aim of the league is to give more young people the opportunity to represent their school in competitive football matches against pupils from other schools within the SSP.
This is the second (of three) match days in the SSP Yr 5-6 Football Development League. All matches will be played on the outdoor all weather (3G) 7 a side pitches at the Sportspark.
Schools are invited to enter mixed squads of up to 10 boys/girls (teams of 7) from Year 5-6 to take part in the development league. There is no minimum number of boys/girls that must be in a squad/team.
Teams will be split into three divisions based on ability, with Division One being pupils of a high ability and Division Three being pupils of a lower ability.
Schools are invited to select which Division they would like to take part in when entering. The SSP staff will have the final say on which division teams will be in to ensure there are equal numbers in each division.
All matches will be held outdoors so players should be encouraged to bring suitable clothing to keep them warm/dry in between matches.
Matches will be played on 3G artificial pitches so players should wear football trainers or boots with moulded studs. Football boots with metal studs or blades are not allowed on this surface. It is also recommended that all players wear shin pads at all time
Parents are invited to come along and spectate during league matches. PLEASE NOTE – There is a 60p entrance fee to the Sportspark for spectators.
Schools are required to provide their own transport to this event.
