This event is part of the Norfolk School Games which aims to encourage more pupils to benefit from representing their school in competitive school sport.

Please note – This event does not feed into a county final in 2019/20.

Schools are invited to enter one team in each of the following categories to take part in the gala.

  • Year 4 boys
  • Year 4 girls
  • Year 5 boys
  • Year 5 girls
  • Year 6 boys
  • Year 6 girls

Each team should provide one boy and girl to take part in each of the following events plus 2 boys + 2 girls from each year to take part in the mixed freestyle relay;

  1. 25m Freestyle
  2. 25m Breaststroke
  3. 25m Backstroke
  4. 25m Butterfly (Year 5 & 6 only)

Each swimmer can take part in up to two individual events plus one relay. Pupils can only swim within their actual year group and cannot swim up in an older year group.

The changing rooms at the Sportspark will be open to the public at the same time so it is vital that schools provide sufficient male/female members of staff to supervise their own pupils when changing.

Parents are invited to come along and spectate during the event. PLEASE NOTE – There is a 60p entrance fee to the Sportspark for spectators.
