Aim
This event is part of the Norfolk School Games which aims to encourage more pupils to benefit from representing their school in competitive school sport.
Please note – This event does not feed into a county final in 2019/20.
Description
Schools are invited to enter one team in each of the following categories to take part in the gala.
- Year 4 boys
- Year 4 girls
- Year 5 boys
- Year 5 girls
- Year 6 boys
- Year 6 girls
Each team should provide one boy and girl to take part in each of the following events plus 2 boys + 2 girls from each year to take part in the mixed freestyle relay;
- 25m Freestyle
- 25m Breaststroke
- 25m Backstroke
- 25m Butterfly (Year 5 & 6 only)
- 4 x 25m mixed freestyle relay (2 boys + 2 girls)
Each swimmer can take part in up to two individual events plus one relay. Pupils can only swim within their actual year group and cannot swim up in an older year group.
Changing
The changing rooms at the Sportspark will be open to the public at the same time so it is vital that schools provide sufficient male/female members of staff to supervise their own pupils when changing.
Spectators
Parents are invited to come along and spectate during the event. PLEASE NOTE – There is a 60p entrance fee to the Sportspark for spectators.
Transport
We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools with free transport to this event if needed. In the below booking form please indicate whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils+adults). All transport will be provided by Norse Transport unless otherwise stated. Pick up/drop off times will be confirmed once the booking deadline has past.
Photo and video consent
We aim to use photos and videos to promote our events using a variety of media including on the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters. It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by SSP staff or official event photographers.

Risk Assessment
A risk assessment for the event will be emailed to schools approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.

To enter to bring pupils to the event please complete the below booking form and press “submit”.
Entry deadline
The deadline for entering is Friday 14th February (3 weeks prior to the event).
