Aim
This event is part of the Norfolk School Games and aims to encourage more pupils to benefit from representing their school in competitive school sport.
Description
Schools are invited to enter up to 10 boys and 10 girls from each of Years 2, 3, 4, 5 and 6 to take part in the event. The order of events and approximate race distances will be as below;
- Yr 3 girls = 1400m
- Yr 3 boys = 1400m
- Yr 4 girls = 1400m
- Yr 4 boys = 1400m
- Yr 2 girls = 1000m
- Yr 2 boys = 1000m
- Yr 5 girls = 1600m
- Yr 5 boys = 1600m
- Yr 6 girls = 1600m
- Yr 6 boys = 1600m
The top ten finishers in Years 3, 4, 5, 6 (unfortunately not Yr 2) will be invited to represent the SSP at the Norfolk School Games Finals on Wednesday 4th March at Holkham Hall.
Clothing/Footwear
The competition will be held outside at Earlham Park with no access to indoor facilities so please ensure your team are appropriately dressed for the weather conditions on the day. Schools might like to bring a gazebo or ground sheet to protect their belongings.
Spectators
Parents are invited to come along and spectate during league matches. PLEASE NOTE – There is very limited parking available at the Earlham Park.
Transport
We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools free transport to this event if needed. In the below booking form please indicate whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils+adults). All transport will be provided by Norse Transport Ltd unless otherwise stated. Pick up/drop off times will be confirmed once the booking deadline has past.
Photo and video consent
We aim to use photos and videos to promote our events using a variety of media including on the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters. It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by SSP staff or official event photographers.

Risk Assessment
A risk assessment for the event will be emailed to schools approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.

To enter a team into the league please complete the below booking form and press “submit”.
