This event is part of the Norfolk School Games and aims to encourage more pupils to benefit from representing their school in competitive school sport.
The event will be delivered in partnership with coaches and officials from Easton Gymnastics Club and held at their purpose built gymnastics centre.
Pupils will be given the opportunity to take part in a number of gymnastics activities (including those within the Key Steps Gymnastics competition resource) using a range of gymnastics specific equipment.
Schools are invited to enter up to two group of 6 pupils (boys/girls) from Years 1-2 (max = 12 pupils per school). Please note – each group should have a minimum of one boy and one girl in.
The coaches from Easton Gymnastics Club will select two groups of 6 pupils from the two festival sessions (AM and PM) to represent the SSP at the Norfolk School Games Yr 1-2 Key Steps Gymnastics Finals on Tuesday 12th February at the Sportspark. Support from Easton Gymnastics Club coaches will be provided to selected schools.
Pupils are required to wear normal PE kit and have bare feet.
Unfortunately we are not able to accommodate spectators at this event.
We are pleased to be able to offer SSP member schools with free transport to this event if needed. In the below booking form please indicate whether you require transport and the total number of seats required (pupils+adults). All transport will be provided by Norse Transport unless otherwise stated. Pick up/drop off times will be confirmed once the booking deadline has past.
Photo and video consent
We aim to use photos and videos to promote our events using a variety of media including on the internet, social media, newspapers and newsletters. It is the responsibility of the participating school to ensure that they have asked parents/guardian for permission for photos and videos of all participants to be taken by SSP staff or official event photographers.

A risk assessment for the event will be emailed to schools approximately 2 weeks prior to the event.
Schools are reminded of the following safeguarding responsibilities at SSP events.
