High Schools within Norwich are invited to enter teams to take part in the 2018 Norwich City Schools Athletics Association Track and Field Championships. The event will be held at the UEA Sportspark on Friday 25th May (9.45am-3pm). The event is being run by the Norwich School Sport Partnership (City Academy Norwich).
Schools are invited to enter teams of pupils into the following age/gender categories;
– Under 13 (Year 7) – Boys
– Under 13 (Year 7) – Girls
– Under 14 (Year 8) – Boys
– Under 14 (Year 8) – Girls
– Under 15 (Year 9) – Boys
– Under 15 (Year 9) – Girls
– Under 17 (Year 10 & 11) – Boys
– Under 17 (Year 10 & 11) – Girls
Please see attached a team Declaration Sheet for a full break down of events for each age/gender category. Please could each school hand in a completed declaration sheet at the start of the event.
Schools can enter up to two athletes for each event (‘A’ and ‘B’ string). Athletes can compete in a maximum of two events plus a relay. For Example:
– 1 x track event, 1 x field, plus 1 x relay or
– 2 x track, plus 1 x relay or
– 2 x field, plus 1 x relay.

Students will be awarded points for their school/team depending on their performance in each event. Students will be awarded the following points;
1st 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th 7th 8th
‘A’ string and relays: 16 14 12 10 8 6 4 2
‘B’ string 8 7 6 5 4 3 2 1
All schools taking part in the event are required to provide sufficient staff to supervise your students when they are not competing. Pupils should not bring football/rugby balls to use on track side during the event. Any balls will be confiscated and held until the end of the event.
Each school will be assigned an event to manage (details will follow). Please also bring along as many helpers and volunteers as you can to assist you run your allocated event.
Norwich SSP would like to take photos/videos of the event in order to celebrate students successes and promote the event and the SSP. If you do not have photo/video consent for any students please could you inform a member of SSP staff at the start of the event.
Staff who would like to take photos of the event will also be asked to register their camera at the start of the event.

How to enter?
To enter for a team(s) from your school to take part in the event please complete the below booking form outlining which categories you would like to enter a team of students in to. By entering you agree to pay a fixed £100 contribution towards the running of the event. Schools will be invoiced for the fee prior to the event.
