Day of Calm

Day of Calm

As part of our member package, member schools can host a FREE Day of Calm for your pupils.

Why?

In England, 1 in 6 Young People aged 5 to 16 years old experienced a mental health problem in 2020 (Source – Mind)
We can help your pupils develop a series of tools in their backpack to help them to be calm, relaxed and strive forward in their lives.

What does a Day of Calm entail?

During a Day of Calm, a member of the SSP Team will spend time with every class in your school. The day will include:

  • Breathing exercises
  • Concentration and Isolation of senses
  • Tai Chi style movement
  • The Superhero pose
  • Visualisations and Meditations

We will also share our resources with you after the day.

Impact on pupils

School’s who have hosted a Day of Calm have reported that the atmosphere in their school has been noticeably calmer and more relaxed afterwards. Some students nearly fell asleep in the visualisation and meditation session at the end.
