Big Norfolk School Physical Activity Survey

What is it?

We have teamed up with our colleagues from the other 7 School Sport Partnership’s in Norfolk and Active Norfolk to launch the ‘Big Norfolk School Physical Activity Survey‘. The survey uses the online survey tool Koboca and sims to build insight that can support schools sport and physical activity offers, including the School Games, in order to improve your pupils physical activity levels, wellbeing and whole school outcomes.

What questions are included in the survey?

The survey is made up of a maximum of 10 questions (depending on year group). These cover the following topics:

  1. Which activities pupils would like to try
  2. How active pupils are
  3. Which pupils have/have not competed for their school team
  4. Who wants to be a sports leader
  5. Who can and cannot meet the national guidelines for swimming
  6. Nutritional knowledge
  7. Transition worries
  8. Resilience
  9. Well-being
  10. Support – someone to talk to

Registration is completely FREE to all schools within the partnership so please tick “I understand my Sports Partnership has paid for this package and there is no cost to my school”. Dear Parent or Guardian,
RE: Big Norfolk School Physical Activity Survey
This week we are carrying out a pupil activity and wellbeing survey and we would like your child to take part. The survey consists of up to 10 questions asking them what activities they do, and what activities they would like to do. It will also ask about their confidence and resilience, and what they know about nutrition. Their answers will help us plan where and how we allocate our resources and ensure we have a positive impact on EVERY pupil’s wellbeing this year.
Pupil voice gives us the most powerful data to use, in creating real change and having the biggest impact. The data collected in this survey will help inform the national picture and help us to redress the fall in activity levels and the increase of poor mental wellbeing in young people.
We are using a Survey system called Koboca to carry out the survey. Koboca has a strict GDPR policy and follows data protection protocol. The pupil data collected can only be seen by school staff. The overall school data will contribute towards a national figure, but this will be school data, NOT pupil data. e.g. 16 pupils said they would like to try Hockey.
Regards
