This morning we held a Change4Life Festival at the Sportspark UEA. Pupils from the following schools took part; The festival targeted pupils who wouldnt traditionally engage with school sport. The aim was to show pupils that being active can be fun and that it isn’t just for “sporty” pupils. Eaton Primary Free School Norwich Edith Cavell Academy Charles Darwin Primary Bignold Primary Pupils took part in a carousel of fun physical activities and games which challenged them to work with other pupils and do their personal best. We are delighted to announce that Sustrans Big Pedal is back with a new name! Since Sustrans Big Pedal started in 2011 it has grown to be much more than a cycling competition. During the two week challenge schools compete to record the greatest number of pupils walking, using a wheelchair, scooting and cycling to school, whilst learning about the benefits of active travel along the way. Sustrans Big Walk and Wheel The new name acknowledges the multi-modal nature of the competition and reflects the inclusive nature of the challenge.
