On Monday 22nd April schools were invited to bring a group of up to 12 pupils from Years 2-4 who are traditionally less physically active or wouldn’t normally engage in other school sport events to come along to the UEA Sportspark to enjoy a fun morning of different activities.
The event is targeted at providing traditionally less active pupils the opportunity to receive all of the benefits of representing their school in an off site sports event alongside pupils from other schools without feeling overwhelmed by large groups and peer pressure. Active60 is aimed at promoting positive experiences through exercise and following the Chief Medical Officers recommended 60 Active minutes a day.
The pupils took part in a carousel of fun physical activities and games including cheer dance, tag rugby, slalom races to name just a few to challenge them to work with other pupils and do their personal best.
Thank you to all the schools that booked on….
- Valley Primary Academy
- Lakenham Primary
- Tuckswood Academy
- The Free School
- Charles Darwin Primary
- Nelson Infant
- Clover Hill Infant

A massive thank you again to the Sports Leaders from Hethersett Academy who without them we would not be able to run these type of events.
