On Tuesday 17th January 13 members of school staff from across the SSP attended a CPD workshop at City Academy Norwich aimed at helping them to develop their skills/confidence to deliver High 5 Netball.
High 5 is included in the new School Games and is the junior format of netball designed specifically for primary school pupils to help them develop the basic skills required to play netball and develop their interest in the sport.
The 2 hour workshop was delivered by Donna Sullivan the Norfolk Development Officer for England Netball.
What is High 5 Netball?
During the workshop staff members looked at a range of resources for schools which have been produced by England Netball to help them deliver High 5 to their pupils. These include;
England Netball is also offering FREE membership to all primary schools who want to be involved in High 5 Netball – and the first 10 to register will receive free set of bibs and balls for their school.
If your school would like to introduce High 5 Netball but you dont have any suitable equipment, then you can purchase it directly from England Netball's online shop.
England Netball also offer a range of further training workshops and courses for teachers and coaches to develop their knowledge of the game even more.
