Sportspark (3G 7 a side)
University of East Anglia
The aim of the league is to give more young people the opportunity to represent their school in competitive football matches against pupils from other schools within the SSP.
This is the fourth (of four) match days in the SSP Yr 5-6 Football Development League. All matches will be played on the outdoor all weather (3G) 7 a side pitches at the Sportspark.
Schools are invited mixed squads of up to 12 boys/girls (teams of 7) from Year 5-6 to take part in the development league. There is no minimum number of boys/girls that must be in a squad/team.
Teams will be split into two divisions based on ability (Division 1 & 2). Division 1 will be for older pupils or those of a higher ability, whilst Division 2 will be aimed to younger pupils or those of a lower ability. The SSP staff will have the final say on which division teams will be in to ensure their are equal numbers in each division.
All matches will be held outdoors so players should be encouraged to bring suitable clothing to keep them warm/dry in between matches. Also, matches will be played on 3G artificial pitches so players should wear football trainers or boots with moulded studs. Unfortunately, football boots with metal studs or blades are not suitable for this surface.
Schools are required to provide their own transport to the event.
A risk assessment for the event will be emailed to schools approximately 1 week prior to the event.
Photo and video consent
We aim to use a variety of media to promote all of our events including the internet, social networking, photographs and video. Please ensure you make SSP staff aware of any children without consent prior to the start of the event. These children will be asked to wear a yellow armband throughout the event. Any participant wearing an armband should not be photographed by anyone.
