On Friday we had our first Change4Life festival of the new school year, which saw 72 pupils from 6 different schools come to City Academy Norwich.

Change4Life Festivals are an opportunity for traditionally less active pupils to increase their physical activity levels while representing their schools alongside other schools in Norwich.

The schools that attended:

  • Bignold Primary School
  • Bluebell Primary
  • Chapel Break Infant School
  • Colman Junior School
  • Saint Francis of Assisi Primary School
  • West Earlham Junior School

The theme for this festival was ‘Flight’ where the focus was activities involving throwing and catching with different size balls and hitting a variety of targets. All of the activities were delivered by Sports Leaders from City Academy Norwich.

George Harmer, Community Sport Project Officer for the SSP commented;

“It was a great afternoon where you saw children from other schools participating with each other. You got to see children who don’t usually attend sports activities enjoying themselves and representing their school.”

You can find photos from this event in our Photo Gallery.

The next Change4Life Festival will be March 16th 2018.
